I’m not usually one for graphic novels, but the sketchbook section alone is worth the price—it’s like peeking into Cloonan’s brain. The three stories feel so distinct, yet they all carry that same haunting, dreamlike weight, and the hardcover quality makes it a keeper on my shelf.

The colors Lee Loughridge brought to these pages are just gorgeous—Demeter especially feels like holding a watercolor dream. I flipped through the sketchbook section twice before even reading the stories, and the whole collection has this haunting, quiet mood that stays with you.

Lush is the right word for these colors—Lee Loughridge really makes each story feel cinematic, and the sketchbook section in the back is a nice bonus. I tore through all three tales in one sitting, and the art alone makes it worth picking up.
