H. P. Lovecraft’s The Festival LP

The pressing is dead quiet, so that flute melody near the end comes through crystal clear. I put it on during a snowy evening and the whole room felt properly tense and strange. Perfect atmosphere for a dark holiday.

The narration pulls you straight into that eerie Yuletide atmosphere, and the vinyl itself has a nice weight to it. I’ve played it three times already and the crackle between tracks just adds to the mood.

The packaging is gorgeous, with a thick gatefold sleeve and eerie winter artwork that sets the mood perfectly. The recording itself is crisp and immersive, making Lovecraft’s twisted holiday story feel even more unsettling. A must for any cosmic horror fan’s collection.
