Loose Grooves & Bastard Blues LP بواسطة Tommy Guerrero

The vinyl pressing captures the lo-fi warmth perfectly, especially on the Latin-tinged tracks. This is the kind of record that sounds better with each listen.

I’ve been listening to this on repeat for days—the blend of Cuban percussion with lo-fi blues is totally unexpected but flows perfectly. The vinyl itself has a nice weight to it, and the sleeve art captures that dusty, late-night vibe.

The pressing is clean and the Cuban-influenced instrumentals sound great, but the lo-fi production gets a bit samey after a few tracks. I was hoping for a bit more variety in the second half, though it's solid background music for a lazy afternoon.
