ParaNorman - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 2XLP

I’ve been listening to this vinyl non-stop since it arrived; Jon Brion’s score is even more haunting and playful on wax than through earbuds. The 2XLP pressing is dead quiet between tracks, which really lets the orchestral layers breathe.

The artwork on this gatefold is stunning, and the score really captures the film’s eerie yet heartfelt tone. Listening to the vinyl, I noticed details in the orchestration I’d never caught before.

The vinyl pressing is dead quiet between tracks, which lets the spooky orchestral score breathe exactly like it does in the film. Spun it twice in a row and the dynamic range on the crescendos still gave me chills.
