Compare the Mondo x Death Waltz Civic TV and 10th Anniversary slip mats to find the right turntable accessory for your setup and style.
Quick Answer
Choose the Mondo x Death Waltz Civic TV Slip Mat for a budget-friendly, everyday mat with a bold design, or the 10th Anniversary Slip Mat if you want a collectible piece that celebrates the Death Waltz collaboration.
Design Differences Matter More Than You Think
The two Mondo x Death Waltz slip mats look similar at a glance, but their designs tell different stories. The Civic TV mat references a cult film aesthetic, while the 10th Anniversary mat features original artwork by Gabe Chicoine to mark a decade of the label. If you're buying for the art, pick the one that speaks to your taste. If you're buying for the turntable, both do the same job.
Price vs. Collectibility
The Civic TV Slip Mat costs less and is a practical everyday choice. The 10th Anniversary mat costs a bit more because it's a commemorative item with exclusive artwork. If you plan to use the mat daily and want to save a few dollars, the Civic TV is the smarter buy. If you're a collector or a Death Waltz fan, the anniversary edition adds a special touch to your setup.
Decision Rules: How to Choose
- If you want a budget-friendly everyday mat: Choose the Civic TV Slip Mat. It costs less and still delivers the same practical performance as the anniversary edition. Save money without sacrificing function.
- If you're a Death Waltz collector: Choose the 10th Anniversary Slip Mat. The exclusive Gabe Chicoine artwork and commemorative status make it a standout piece for fans. The anniversary edition is more than a mat; it's a collectible.
- If you want a slip mat purely for DJ or casual use: Either mat works, but the Civic TV's lower price makes it the more practical choice for daily wear and tear. Don't overpay for art you won't display.
