The Beyond – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Erweiterte Ausgabe)

The gatefold packaging is beautiful and the vinyl itself is heavy and quiet. Frizzi's synth work really shines in this expanded edition, especially during the more eerie passages. A must-have for any fan of classic Italian horror scores.

The bass on "E tu vivrai nel terrore" finally hits the way it should on vinyl, and having the full, unabridged score means no awkward fade-outs between cues. Spun it twice already and the pressing is dead quiet between tracks, which makes the creepy silence even more effective.

The gatefold sleeve is gorgeous and really captures the film’s eerie vibe. Spinning this expanded edition, I can finally hear those previously unreleased tracks seamlessly woven in, and the vinyl itself sounds wonderfully warm.
