Black Dragon Press x Mondo #14: ザ・サクリファイス (バリアント)

The archival print stock really makes the muted colors in Rovina Cai’s piece feel almost tactile, like you could step right into the scene. I’ve had it framed for a week now, and I keep catching myself staring at the subtle texture of the paper. It’s a gorgeous, haunting addition to my collection.

Rovina Cai’s artwork on this variant is absolutely stunning in person—the muted, dreamlike color palette feels even richer up close than in the photos. The archival print quality is top-notch, and the fact that it’s a 2018 limited edition makes it a real centerpiece for any film poster wall.

The foil on this variant shimmers beautifully under gallery lights—holds up the detail of Cai's brushwork perfectly. It’s a heavy, museum-grade stock that feels substantial in the hands. I’m thrilled to own a piece from this 2018 release.
