スタートレック: ザ・モーション・ピクチャー - オリジナル・サウンドトラック 2XLP

The gatefold jacket is beautiful with artwork from the Director’s Edition, and the vinyl itself has a nice weight to it. Jerry Goldsmith’s score sounds incredibly rich and full on this double LP, especially during the Klingon theme. I’ve been playing it nonstop since it arrived.

The pressing is dead quiet between tracks, and Jerry Goldsmith’s score really shines on vinyl—the deep brass on the Klingon theme sounds incredible. I’ve been playing side two on repeat all weekend.

The Director’s Edition on double vinyl gives the overture so much room to breathe, and the surface noise is practically nil even on the quiet passages. The gatefold feels sturdy, and the pressing has that deep, warm tone that makes the opening flyby scene hit harder every time.
