Godzilla: Monster Island Poster

The nine-color screenprint layers are so vibrant and precise that Godzilla really seems to pop off the paper. I’m impressed by the detail in the Showa Era kaiju design.

The Showa Era kaiju lineup is a treat, and the 9-color screenprint really makes each monster pop off the French Construction paper. It’s got that hand-pulled print quality you can feel with your fingers, and it’s easily the centerpiece of my wall now.

I’ve been staring at the paper texture as much as the kaiju—the French Construction Pure White stock gives it a tactile, almost vintage feel. The 9‑color screenprinting is so clean you can count the scales on Godzilla’s tail. It’s easily the most detailed poster I’ve hung in years.
