Mortal Kombat 1 - Original Video Game Soundtrack 3XLP

The vinyl pressing is surprisingly clean for a triple LP, and the dynamic range makes the gong hits and bass drops hit way harder than through my headphones. I've already spun the whole thing twice in one sitting, and it brings back that first-time tournament energy perfectly.

Spinning this 3XLP set while reading the liner notes feels like stepping straight into the game’s opening cinematic, the bass and drums hitting with that familiar arena punch. The triple-vinyl format gives the tracks room to breathe, and the soundstage is surprisingly wide for a soundtrack pressing.

The gatefold packaging has some awesome artwork from the game, and the record itself plays without any surface noise. I've been waiting for this soundtrack on vinyl for ages, and it was totally worth it for the fight themes alone.
