Detective Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) is back on the beat in Beverly Hills. After his daughter's life is threatened, she (Taylour Paige) and Foley team up with a new partner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and old pals Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton) to turn up the heat and uncover a conspiracy.
You know the score is good when they name a sequel after the theme song, and Harold Faltermeyer’s original BEVERLY HILLS COP themes were not just good ... they were some of the most memorable of the entire 80s.
For Netflix's BEVERLY HILLS COP: AXEL F, composer Lorne Balfe was tasked with updating the legendary Beverly Hills soundtrack for a 2024 thrill ride. A “huge fan of the original films,” Balfe crafts a soundtrack that sizzles in the latest chapter of the action-comedy classic, "skillfully weaving the past and present by carefully re-imagining Harold Faltermeyer’s iconic original themes” says producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
Mastered for vinyl by James Plotkin, BEVERLY HILLS COP: AXEL F - Soundtrack from the Netflix Movie 2xLP features art direction by Josh Manderville & Peter Santa-Maria, with creative direction by Chelsea Taylor, design direction by Nolan Fleming, product design by Janie Peacock and label management by Cameron Dean.

Hannah ★★★★★

The bass on side B really punches through with that vintage synth sound—perfect for when Axel gets into trouble. I was worried the pressing might be thin, but it's nice and warm with minimal surface noise.

Ava ★★★★★

The gatefold packaging is sturdier than most modern vinyl releases, and the 2LP pressing handles the transition between tracks without any annoying surface noise. I've already spun it three times since it arrived yesterday, and the nostalgia hits just as hard as the bass lines.

Evelyn ★★★★★

Spinning this record takes me right back to the opening chase scene—the audio mix is incredibly clean, and the bass on side A hits way harder than I expected from a standard pressing. The vinyl itself is nice and heavy with zero warp, so it’s become my go-to soundtrack for weekend cleaning sessions.
