At turns tense, hilarious and breathtaking, Matt Johnson’s award-winning BLACKBERRY traces the rise and fall of the BlackBerry phone by following a trio of high-strung techies: co-founders Douglas Fregin (Matt Johnson) and Mike Lazaridis (Jay Baruchel) as well as investor Jim Balsillie (Glenn Howerton). Stuffed with charismatic performances and needle drops, the film's heartbeat is a shimmering electronic score by frequent Johnson collaborator Jay McCarrol, which beautifully swells and bends to keep this wild tale from breaking. Mastered by James Plotkin, The BLACKBERRY Original Motion Picture Soundtrack features layout and design by Jordan Christianson and Estefania Rodriguez.

Michael ★★★★★

The vinyl pressing is dead quiet and the score builds tension beautifully—the synth layers sound huge on my system. Really glad I grabbed this.

Ella ★★★★★

Listened to this on my turntable last night and the vinyl pressing is dead quiet, letting the haunting score really breathe. Bought it after seeing the film and it captures that tense, nostalgic mood perfectly.

Sebastian ★★★★★

The score itself is so well integrated into the film's mood that hearing it isolated on vinyl feels like uncovering a hidden layer, and the pressing is dead quiet between tracks. I've spun it three times since it arrived and McCarrol's themes just get more addictive.
