“The musical score, by Susan Justin, provides the film with its most interesting edge—flowing from classical grace to deadly tension.” The Hollywood Reporter"

Death Waltz Recording Company are proud to be unleashing one of the great unheralded electronic scores of the sci-fi horror genre. Unavailable since the film's release in 1982, Susan Justin’s music for FORBIDDEN WORLD – produced by the legendary Roger Corman – mixes the electronic influences of the time with splashes of new wave, creating a score that fuses the eerie tonalities and avant-garde sensibility of ALIEN with the straight-up funk sound of ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13. Birthed from this synthesis is a true cult classic score that deserves to be held up alongside the works of Richard Band and Alan Howarth.

Pressed on 180 gm black hole vinyl (BLUE & WHITE SPLATTER ON BLACK) OR 180 gram clear vinyl, housed in a heavyweight casebound tip on sleeve with exclusive artwork by Kimberley Holladay, containing a poster and booklet featuring exclusive all new liner notes from composer Susan Justin Director Allan Holzman and artist Kimberley Holladay.

Hazel ★★★★★

The vinyl's surface is dead quiet between tracks, which lets Susan Justin's shift from delicate classical passages to that razor-sharp tension land with real impact. Spun it twice back-to-back and the dynamics still gave me chills.

Henry P. ★★★★★

The Hollywood Reporter quote is spot-on—Susan Justin’s score really does glide from those delicate classical passages into some seriously unnerving tension. Side A’s buildup gave me chills on first listen, and the sleeve art alone is worth the pickup.

Violet F. ★★★★★

The vinyl pressing is dead quiet, letting the score's shift from delicate strings to tense brass really shine. It arrived well-packaged and the artwork captures the film's eerie vibe perfectly.
