Death Waltz Recording Co. is delighted to be revisiting not only one of our favourite Halloween sequels but one of our favourite sequels period. It's been a long hard road for HALLOWEEN III: THE SEASON OF THE WITCH to be accepted within the HALLOWEEN franchise, but it is now widely considered to be one of the best horror movies of the '80s.

The packaging for this release is also completely singular and jaw dropping, designed by Alan Hynes (The wizard behind our FIGHT CLUB and ANOMOLISA releases) it's unlike all of our other reissues in this series (But still designed to fit in the collectors box) and really helps solidify what an outlier HALLOWEEN III is in the overall series.

Check out this behind-the-scenes blog for an in-depth look at the making of this incredible packaging by Alan Hynes.

The gatefold sleeve is beautifully designed with that iconic pumpkin art, and the vinyl itself sounds incredibly crisp with zero surface noise. This pressing finally does justice to the creepy score, especially the Silver Shamrock jingle.

I was honestly nervous this pressing would be flat, but the audio is rich and clear, and the track sequencing makes the whole Carpenter synth vibe feel properly eerie. The packaging feels sturdy enough for a record I’ll be spinning every October, and the insert with the original art is a nice touch.

This pressing finally does justice to Carpenter and Howarth's eerie synth score—the bass on "Chariot of Pumpkins" rumbles my whole apartment. The vinyl itself is dead quiet, no surface noise at all. Been waiting years for a proper reissue of this cult classic.
