Performed and produced entirely without the use of MIDI and other modern production techniques, MAINE’s IV is a fiercely analogue affair, a throwback to the electronic pioneers of the past.

Christopher ★★★★★

The liner notes mention everything was recorded live to tape, and you can genuinely hear that warmth in every bassline and synth pad. It feels like rediscovering why I fell in love with electronic music in the first place.

Michael T. ★★★★★

Crackling and rich from the first needle drop, IV sounds like it was pressed straight from a 1970s studio session. The fact that there’s zero MIDI anywhere on the record makes every drum hit and synth line feel alive, and the vinyl surface noise only adds to the charm. I’ve spun it three times today

Claire ★★★★★

The warmth of this all-analogue recording comes through beautifully on vinyl. I was really impressed by the dynamic range on side B. A genuine, uncompromising electronic record.
