Ever since we heard Join Us — the debut album by Montreal’s Le Matos — we knew we wanted to work with them; their sound is everything we love about authentic '80s synth music with a modern techno twist. It easily sits next to College & Daft Punk, but shot through with a gleam of John Carpenter at his funkiest (Christine, Halloween III).

They also have a killer ear for a good pop hook, and here they team up with Pawws who add vocals to the track "No Tomorrow," taken from the forthcoming soundtrack to Turbo Kid. This is saccharine sweet electro pop with a dark edge and the perfect taster for the full length album, which is easily going to sit in many Top 10s come the end of 2015.

Listen on Soundcloud.

A side - No Tomorrow featuring Pawws (7-Inch Exclusive version)

B Side - No Tomorrow (Instrumental version as featured in Turbo Kid)

Timothy ★★★★★

The clear vinyl plays dead quiet — no pops or crackle on the quieter synth passages. That 180-gram weight feels substantial in my hands, a nice touch for a record I’ll spin often.

Lily P. ★★★★★

It’s heavy and glossy, a nice surprise for a 7-inch. The synth layers really pop through the grooves, way more punch than I expected from a single.

Victoria B. ★★★★★

The synth bass on the A-side is so punchy and perfectly captures that retro-futuristic sound. This 7-inch has been on repeat since it arrived.
