10-color screenprint on French Construction Pure White
"I was fascinated by the colorful and childlike mise-en-scène of Squid Game conflicting with its brutal and dark storyline. In particular, I was attracted to the Red Light Green Light Girl as she looked like an innocent child, but felt like a ruthless ruler of the game, or a spectator watching the scene of a murder, without sympathy. Focusing on this girl statue with cozy and hazy color, I wanted to capture some discomfort and anxiety caused by ambivalent motifs of Squid Game, such as life and death, equality and inequality, hope and despair." - Jiwoon Pak

Thomas ★★★★★

The 10-color screenprint really pops against the white paper, and the contrast captures that unsettling mix of childhood whimsy and violence perfectly. I've got it framed in my living room and it's already a conversation starter.

William ★★★★★

The white French Construction paper gives it a clean, gallery feel, and the 10-color layers create real depth you don't see in regular prints. It's easily the most striking piece on my wall right now.

Ruby ★★★★★

The 10-color screenprint really pops against the white French Construction paper, and the contrast between the playful pastels and the grim theme hits exactly like the show does. Hung it in my hallway and catch myself staring at the layered textures every time I pass by.
