Returnal - Original Video Game Soundtrack LP

The way Bobby Krlic’s score swells on vinyl makes the alien dread feel even more immersive than in-game. The pressing itself is quiet and clean, letting the strings and synths breathe without a hint of surface noise. I’ve already spun side A three times tonight.

The gatefold feels sturdy, and the vinyl itself has a nice weight to it. Bobby Krlic’s score really fills the room on my setup, especially the eerie synth layers that don’t come through as clearly on streaming.

I’ve been listening to this on repeat since it arrived, the pressing is dead quiet and really lets the dark ambient textures shine. The double-gatefold artwork is a nice bonus, makes it feel like a proper collector’s piece for fans of the game.
