Bloesem

Flipping through this, I kept stopping just to stare at the way Lotay’s linework shifts from delicate to bold in the black-and-white pieces. The 48 pages fly by, but the mix of color and monochrome makes it feel like a proper gallery visit. Worth it if you want to study her process up close.

The mix of full-color pieces and stark black-and-white studies really shows off the range in her linework, and the 48 pages feel dense with detail. Some of the adult-themed artwork isn't for everyone, but the quality of the printing makes every page worth lingering on.

I’ve been flipping through this every night since it arrived, and the mix of color and black-and-white pieces keeps pulling me back in. The paperback format is sturdy enough to lay flat while I study the linework, and honestly the adult-themed bits make it feel more honest than most art books.
