Let's be real: If Mount Rushmore actually went ape like this, we'd all be there ten times a year, celebrating the imminent de-evolution of mankind. This primate portrait of our furry future was originally featured at The Art of Laurent Durieux: Part Two! gallery show in 2018 as a poster in an edition of 275.

I’ve spent three evenings on this and the apes on Mount Rushmore never get old—the art is so absurdly fun that I actually laughed out loud mid-puzzle. Pieces fit snugly without any warping, and the 1000 count felt challenging but fair. Definitely glad I picked this one for my weekend brain workout.

The image quality is so crisp that the ape faces actually look like they're staring back at you while you sort pieces. Took a few evenings to finish, but the satisfying snap of each piece locking in kept me going.

Finally got this puzzle done over a rainy weekend—the image quality is crisp and the pieces fit together perfectly without any frayed edges. The fun detail of the apes taking over Mount Rushmore kept me entertained the whole time.
