A practical FAQ on the God of War Ragnarok 3XLP: what the slipcase holds, how the trifold displays concept art, and whether this game soundtrack vinyl set fits your shelf.
Quick answer
The God of War Ragnarok 3XLP is a three-record soundtrack set in a trifold jacket with concept art inside, and this webstore edition adds a Mondo-exclusive slipcase designed to hold both the God of War (2018) and Ragnarok soundtracks. Buy it if you want the score on vinyl and a place to keep both games' music together.
What the slipcase actually solves
Most soundtrack reissues leave you storing each release separately. This slipcase is sized for two specific albums, so it works as a shelf organizer only if you also own or plan to own the 2018 score. If you are starting fresh with Ragnarok alone, the slipcase will sit partly empty until you add the earlier soundtrack.
Where this set fits in a collection
A three-LP game soundtrack takes noticeably more shelf depth than a single LP, and the trifold jacket adds width when open. Measure your storage before ordering if your shelves are tight or you file records in outer sleeves. The concept art inside the gatefold is meant to be viewed, so plan for a setup where you can open it rather than cramming it into a crowded row.
God of War Ragnarok 3XLP FAQ
- How many records are in the set?
- Three LPs. That is the 3XLP format named on the release, and it means you will be flipping or changing discs more often than on a single-LP score.
- What does the slipcase hold?
- The Mondo-exclusive slipcase is designed to hold both the God of War (2018) soundtrack and the God of War Ragnarok soundtrack. It does not include the 2018 soundtrack itself. Check whether you already own the 2018 score before counting on the slipcase as a complete storage solution.
- Is the concept art inside the jacket?
- Yes. The trifold jacket has interior displays of original concept art from the game, so the packaging is part of the appeal rather than a plain sleeve.
- Is this a limited edition?
- The release is described as a limited edition, webstore-exclusive slipcase edition. Availability is not guaranteed to last, so decide before restocks become uncertain.
- Does the set include the God of War (2018) soundtrack?
- No. The slipcase is made to hold both soundtracks, but the 2018 soundtrack is a separate release and is not part of this package.
- Who is this game soundtrack vinyl set for?
- It suits listeners who want the Ragnarok score on vinyl and value a matching home for both Norse-era soundtracks. It is a weaker fit if you only want a single disc, have very shallow shelving, or prefer minimal packaging.
