Black Carbon by Timothy Fife (Death Waltz Originals)

The vinyl’s surface is dead silent, letting the brooding synths on “Sydney At Night” really breathe. I’ve been spinning it non-stop since it arrived.

The opening track had me hooked immediately—that brooding synth texture is exactly what I wanted after hearing Tangerine Dream’s older work. The vinyl itself is dead quiet, which really lets the dark atmosphere shine.

The B-side's slow build is pure early Eno energy, and the pressing is quiet enough to let all that brooding texture breathe. Sydney At Night sounds even darker through my speakers than it did on streaming—definitely a keeper for late-night listening.
