Cooties – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP

The vinyl pressing is surprisingly quiet, letting Kreng's unsettling synth drones and off-kilter percussion really shine through. I’ve had this on repeat all week, it perfectly captures that creepy-kid-movie vibe I was hoping for.

The schoolyard dread Kreng builds here is perfect for a late-night spin—the vinyl's surface noise adds to the creepy-crawly vibe. Side B’s tense strings keep me flipping back to the start.

That first needle drop takes me right back to the schoolyard—Kreng’s score is so unsettling and playful at once, and the vinyl’s pressing is dead quiet between tracks. The packaging feels like a proper little slice of the film, too.
